Random Picker

Random integers, choices, coin flips, and dice.

Press the button to roll

Uses browser cryptographic randomness. Choice lists and the picked value live only in memory and are never persisted.

Inclusive lower bound. Press Enter to roll.

Inclusive upper bound. Press Enter to roll.

Examples

  • Integer
    1 to 100
    → e.g. 73
  • Coin flip
    —
    → Heads or Tails
  • Dice
    2d6
    → e.g. 4 + 5 = 9

What it does

Random Picker gives you four unbiased random utilities in one place: a random integer within a range, a random choice from a comma-separated list, a coin flip, and dice rolls (any count and any face count).

When you need it

Deciding who goes first, settling a tie, picking a winner from a small list, running a tabletop dice roll, or generating an unbiased sample — Random Picker gives an immediate, trustworthy result.

How it works locally

Randomness comes from your browser's cryptographic source (window.crypto.getRandomValues) and is rendered unbiased by rejection sampling where the natural range does not divide evenly into the target space. No list you enter is durably persisted or sent to a server.
